You know I’m all about that pro’, ’bout that pro’, ’bout that PRO-TEIN.
Yes, ladies + gents, today I am officially kicking off a new segment alll about my newest lifestyle addition: Protein World and it’s 4-Week Plan!
Curious? Read on, loves!
So, a few weeks before New Year’s, I decided in addition to being mindful and making continuously healthy choices, I saw an ad on Instagram all about Protein World and it’s 4-Week Protein Plan. Needless to say, I was intrigued, much.
I loveee trying new things (Jillian Michael’s new fitness app, 7-Minute Fitness, the 21-Day Fix, and so on and so forth).
For about $100 or so, you get a 4-Week Supply of Breakfast’s, Lunches, and Snacks. You also get these handy packets called Weekend Helpers, which make protein pancakes, and you get Craving-Blocking and Thermogenic supplements that come in these pretty silver/gold capsules.
Basically, you make the Breakfast Porridge (which was delishhhh this morning — kinda more like oatmeal, though, but yummy nonetheless), then you eat your own snack (I packed 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese because I am a 65-year old woman at heart), for lunch, you make the Protein Shake (they even give you a snazzy black and gold protein shaker bottle), then around 3pm or so, you eat one of the Protein Bars they provide you (on deck today, I’ve got a dark chocolate and coconut bar). Then, you simply make your own dinner (I’m thinking a big veggie sauté + veggie “sausage”). Below, I’ve got the caloric count for y’all, excluding the 64oz of water I’m drinking, exercise, and my dinner factored in.
does anyone else take a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar in the morning?!
And that’s it! By sticking to the plan and implementing daily movement (i.e. for me, walking my Synny boy, yoga, a few 7-Minute workouts, an old exercise DVD, etc.), you rejuvenate your system, perhaps shed a few pounds, and most importantly for me, get lean!
I am all about being as healthy as I can. And it can be a struggle sometimes, especially when you teach all day, come home exhausted, write a paper until 11:30pm, forget about dinner, and scrouge around the pantry until you can whip something up (at that point if you even feel like it!). It’s wild.
With all that being said, I truly am committed to letting you all know how well this works! I am volunteering (as tribute — lol) to be a human guinea pig and let y’all know how well this works, any struggles or hiccups along the way, and how psyched I am to continue to be committed to my health and wellness routine!
Be on the lookout for updates, maybe even some healthy recipes, my nighttime routine, exercise apps I love, and moreeee on the blog.
And yes, the site is still under construction — I’m looking into new themes and ways in which to make navigating the site easier for y’all!
Below, share with me your thoughts — have you ever tried this before? What’s your go-to health routines? Fave exercises?
Help a sister out!
And wish me luck!!!
