As if my love for Target couldn’t have got any more obsessive. #HELP

Okay, y’all, I may be super late to the game here, but holy balls, did you guys know that Target had their own line of beauty boxes?!

Yes, you heard me right. They do.

I thank the lord that I wasn’t being too socially awkward when the Beauty Guru (who roams the aisles with great, great advice) approached me and asked if I needed any help. And naturally, I meant to brush her off with a “Nahhh, I’m okay”-kinda thing, but for some reason (or due to the fact that I was turning 26 in just a few days), I asked her about some retinol cream or anti-aging goop. I’m good with makeup, but I still have a lot to learn when it comes to pampering myself a bit.

So the girl tells me that I can get an array of samples from their sweet, glam-packed and practical Beauty Boxes!!! I’m getting all antsy just waiting for my February box to arrive!!! And this girl did not lie…here’s what I got in my January Box (and if you like what you see, be sure to click the links!):

Beautiful Nutrition, Lemon Rinse, Gentle Clarifying Treatment

This little guy was a lifesaver for gals like me with big hair, excessive use of hairspray, and dry shampoo addictions. This cut through the build-up like a champ after a few days of not washing my hair, which is what I credit my hair’s health to. I can’t wait to buy the full-size version!!! It was the titz.

Nexxus Comb Thru Finishing Mist

Y’ALL: I loved this. Not just for the sweet scent, but because unlike regular hairspray, like when you spray it on a comb and run it through your hair and it gets too sticky and clumpy, one quick spray on a brush with this stuff helped tame all my fly-aways and aided my straightener into sealing shine into my hair as I straightened small sections. Loved, loved, loved it. And loved the price of the full-size, too!

eb5 Intense Moisture, Anti-Aging Cream

By far, this was my absolute favorite, and as soon as I can stack up a few more paychecks and have some side money for toiletries, this will be the first on my list to purchase! As mentioned earlier, the whole purpose of my Target run that day was to get an anti-aging cream, and when the Makeup Guru told me about this little miracle, I was sold and immediately went home to buy the box. You can only purchase this through Target online, but guys, this seriously rocks. The texture, the lightness, the way it absorbs into your skin–I would legitimately wake up each morning after using it at night with a smooth surface and glowy skin, plus, my little crows feet would be nice and plump! LOVED THIS THE MOSTEST.

Amlactin Moisturizing Body Lotion

This was probably the only little product that I felt ambivalent towards. Not because it smelled weird or turned my skin purple or anything wild like that, but because it took a little too long to absorb and left me feeling sticky for a tad bit too long for comfort. After it did absorb, however, it made my skin soft. It’s good if you’re not a super impatient person, like myself!

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion

This little sample size packed a huge punch and I will definitely be stacking some cash to purchase this! Between the aroma of sage and softness, this day lotion was light enough to go under my makeup without becoming greasy or heavy as the day wore on. I loved how light it felt, the rate of absorption, and how it made my skin feel full and healthy underneath my makeup. Defffff a hit in my book!

ChapStick Total Hydration Natural Lip Scrub

I legit just tried this last night after brushing my teeth and between the sweet mint flavor and scent, the gentle exfoliants, and the coconut oil softness result, my lips felt superrrr smooth and I fell in love! A little will go a long way, and all you do it rub it lightly on your lips with a finger or even just apply it to your lips and rub them together as if putting on lipstick. After rinsing off, I’m sure you’ll love this product as much as I do!

Revlon Kiss, Lasting Hydration, Lip Balm

This only thing I was disappointed in was the color, and this is where I appreciate Ipsy, in a sense, more, because they tailor the lip color to your personal preferences. However, when it comes to packing a box full of products and getting more bang for your buck, Target Beauty Boxes win. This made my lips smooth for a moment or two, because one look in the mirror prompted me to wash it off. I’m more of a mauve-berry lip sorta girl!

L’OREAL Revitalift Volume Filler, Serum and Cream

The only thing I’m pissed about is that I couldn’t make this little stock last four weeks! I’m obsessed! Between this and the eb5 cream, mentioned earlier, I got my money’s worth of samples that have definitely reshaped my thinking about anti-aging creams and the power they pack. I used to think it was a gimmick to get women to spend copious amounts of money on lotions and potions that would never work, but y’all, these DO! I loved how smooth and shapely my face felt and the lines that were quickly filled in made me believe that this really worked. However, it’s all about upkeep, and sometimes I slack, but I hope to train myself to seriously use these products every day and night!

I’m always looking for a good deal, and guys, I would never point or promote a product I didn’t believe in, but these little guys, respectively, worked for me. I love to share and I am definitely not one of those girls who hoard solid information from their fellow females because they are scared. I believe in the power of sharing, and that, my friends, only makes us stronger.

Plus, I love trying new things, just like how I know you’ll LOVE giving my book a try! Only 7 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE RELEASE!!!!!!!

Follow this page, give me a follow on Instagram [@lovalenzaaa] or on Twitter [@life_withlauren], Facebook [] or even on Snapchat, if that’s what you’re into [lauren_costa42]! Give me a shoutout and tweet me! Can’t wait to share this novel with you all.

XOXO, lo♥
